Well, I’ve waffled alot on this game, and I’m continuing to do so.  The game’s reception in Japan seems all over the place, and I like some of the new stuff I hear about, but am saddened by other new bits.

Still, I’ve heard several people praise the soundtrack by Masashi Hamauzu, and so I got my hands on it.  Its quite good so far, and his swimming string section spawns scenes in my mind choreographed along to the song.  My favorites so far are any song that play off of main heroine Lightning’s theme; which first struck me when woven into the battle music during the original trailer that came out so many E3′s ago.

Still can’t say if I’m rushing out to get this game or not…it was pushing me over the PS3 edge though, but that is currently a large investment for a game I’m not 100% on.
