Tokido The Murderface at SoCal Regionals: Best. Winpose. Ever.

Southern California Regionals was held a few weeks back, with notable international competition entering the Super Street Fighter IV arena. Among the travelers were Taiwan’s superstar Gamerbee, and Japan’s Daigo Umehara and Tokido: The Cheapest Man Alive.

Tokido is known for being a cocky player, generally perceived as an uncommon trait in Japan. He has no qualms about playing cheap and dirty, doing whatever it takes to win. That being said, he is still very respectful of his opponents after the match. At SoCal Regionals, he stormed through his competition, destroying Justin Wong, but watching Tokido figure out his match against ClakeyD’s Ibuki (which is no joke, I’ve spent many quarters against him) to the point of setting up the final Raging Demon and running off to taunt is one of the most entertaining matches and celebrations dances I’ve ever seen in competitive Street Fighter. The result? plenty of fan adoration and some neat fan art has popped up.  Image to the left by Inocamellia. Below by Neogaffers. Thanks to Level Up Series for hosting such a fantastic tournament.
