Portal may be one of the best games of recent time, and has set a high standard for story telling, humor, and creativity in video games. This little typography video is a nice tribute, but I don’t think its as strong as the “movie dialogue” pieces that came before it; it relies on actual graphics besides the type, (instead of type as graphics) and the graphics themselves are low rez =(… It’s a bit of a shame as there are bits of subtle animation on the type and the general layout that show the creator’s skill, but these other bits are unpolished as if he had gotten tired of working on it…. Still, you really can’t go wrong with Still Alive.
